So as to better meet our clients' needs and requirements, in 2015 Becri became a member of the Better Cotton Initiative, which is dedicated to a better, more sustainable way of growing cotton, based on the three essential pillars of environmental, social and economic sustainability. BCI aims to monitor the entire global cotton supply chain, ensuring the implementation of good practices and sustainability across the several stages of the process.
In 2013, the company felt the need to obtain the GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standard certification. This certification allows us to produce certified organic fibre garments in compliance with the most strict quality requirements and respect for social norms.
Becri has been awarded the status of PME (Small and Medium Companies) Leader since 2007, granted by IAPMEI, the Portuguese Institute Supporting Small and Medium Companies and Innovation, which provides a set of financial and non-financial benefits, such as public recognition of the companies' quality of performance, strengthening their image and notoriety in the market.
We have always been audited by our clients regarding our social responsibility. In order to assure we comply with all their specifications, the company has been adopting good practices in this field, which have been duly verified by BSCI - Business Social Compliance Initiative.
